Document Swell is the long running project of Melbourne electronic musician Simon Cotter. ‘Stabilo’ is a wonderful collection of melodious dance beats and eclectic sounds that stand amidst swirling misty atmospheres.Simon uses samples reminiscent of playing computer games in the subtropical heat and mixes them amongst warm House rhythms. ‘Stabilo’ is a catalogue of songs made over a long period of time providing us with a miniature archive of some of Cotters work, warm and approachable yet deep and rich.
